They're active shutter glasses i.e. the tint in each lens can actively be tuned based on what is happening, and the colours, on screen. This allows for infinitely better depth of field sensations than your standard tinted 3D glasses
...far outstrech that of the wii based on the simple fact that the EYE is a camera and already has games out for it now like EyePet, Mesmerize etc. The EYE doesnt suddenly lose the rest of its features when the "ARC" is incorporated but then some simple and easy to acquire info would have saved you from seeming like a such an ignorant cynic
...but this would be probably the first time i agree with your sentiments. Previous reviews i've read all seem overly zealous in attempting to justify their inevitable 10 score for the game i.e. it reads as if the game is an 11 or 12 out of 10 (including the eurogamer review which was/is full of spoilers).

For a game based on light the lighting leaves much to be desired. Greatest lighting in a console game indeed
.. by how much unearned praise crytek get. Sure they've built a great looking engine for their pc games but in all honesty i think the engine is rubbish. The mere fact that it still cannot be run at the standard 60fps constantly on its highest settings on todays best cards is ridiculous and testament to really bad optimization.
That and in my experience while playing crysis i've honestly never said "wow". Cant even remember thinking the game looked nice since i was too ...
